A full article on Bahrain's economic situation and future strategy was published on 9th November in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), prominent German newspaper, with the title:"Bahrein schafft den Sprung in die Zeit nach dem Oel" (Bahrain move into the Post-Oil-Era) .
 
Abstract: Bahrain distinguished itself with a liberalised economy and a more advanced diversification from its Gulf neighbours. Whilst this supports the robustness of the economy further direct foreign investment is needed to maintain the high standards of living.

Under the leadership of the Economic Development Board (EDB) a special delegation visited Germany in October. On October 25th a Bahrain Day held at Stuttgart Airport was attended by the delegation and a large number of German business representatives and companies. October 26th and 27th saw the Gulf Connect Forum where GCC chambers and selected business representatives attended. The Women's Football tournament "Arabia 2010" will take place from 18-28 October 2010 under the patronage of H.R.H. Pincess Sabeeka, chairperson of the Supreme Council of Women. Ms Cornelia Piper, Minister of State in Germany, and Ms Steffi Jones, President of the FIFA Organisation Committee Women's Football Worldcup 2011, will be opening the tournament. Media including Bahrain TV and German television station Deutsche Welle will report. German companies have the opportunity to sponsor the tournament. The 2010 General Assembly Meeting was held on February 24th at the Al Ansari office on Exhibition road starting at 4pm.
